What the pages are

The reading here is general, for an owner who wants the hold, the draws, and the close to tell one story. It is not a plan for your own jobs, and reading it does not make you a client. Rules change, and they land differently on different facts, so confirm anything that would move your return before you act on a paragraph.

A 30-minute call on the calendar creates no engagement, no ongoing duty, and no obligation on either side. We will say what we see and what an engagement would cover, including the honest news that you do not need one yet. Work begins when both sides sign a letter that names the scope and the fee.

Each engagement is written down before it starts. The fee matches that scope. Work outside it is priced before it is done. Either side may end the engagement in writing. Fees earned to that date remain due, and your records come back to you.

The work is only as sound as the records under it. You are responsible for complete records, for what sits in your own systems, and for the choices you make. We will say when a month does not tie, and we will not draft a return on a month that is still open.

The words and the pictures belong to the practice that publishes the site. You may read them, print them, and quote them with attribution. Republishing the site, or feeding it to a product so the product can train, needs written permission.

The site is offered as it stands. We work to keep it accurate and available. We do not promise it will never be wrong or never be down. Nothing here limits a liability that the law refuses to limit.

These terms follow the law of the State of Texas. A dispute belongs in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.

Owners meet us on a video call from wherever the job sits. The month still has a date we name. If that date slips, you hear it from us before you hear it from a silence. A task outside the signed scope, including a notice that grows past a simple reading, is priced before anyone starts it. The call is the same length whether the crew is one state over or across the country.

Those 30 minutes are a look at one job and the hold on it. They are not a retainer. We can describe the order the work would take. We cannot promise how a notice we have not read will end, and we will not invent a fee on the call just to sound settled. Stopping after the call, with nothing signed, leaves both sides where they started.
